My Art:

 

I have had an interest in art for many years but it has always been a very strict uniform kind of art.I could never understand free expression or abstract.I could draw things which were in front of me but could not invoke my imagination.

Pen and ink being a very tight form of media was one of my favourites.Then a desire to try a different kind of hobby brought me to encaustic art.A form of art I had never heard of but it intrigued me.

 

The art of painting with melted wax.This technique is an ancient one which has been developed for modern use..The wax is melted using a tool similar to a travel iron (with a thermostat)and then applied to a surface such as sealed card which allows remelting of the wax.
